Why Penang Thaipusam is the BEST?

Thaipusam Penang 2012 - 
Firstly what is Thaipusam event for?Thaipusam is celebrated during the full moon of the 10th month in the Hindu calendar. It is normally held in the last week of January or the beginning of February, depending on the alignment of the sun, moon and planets.I have been to Batu Caves Thaipusam once but I prefer Penang..Why I say Penang Thaipusam is the best?

2)  Wonderful design of Kavadi's

3) Free  delicious vegetarian food give away

  


 Every year almost 100,000 visitors pouring the

"Pearl of Orient"  for Thaipusam .
Chariot normally will arrive Thanner Mallai Temple around 11pm on the eve of Thaipusam day and will return back to temple on the next day of Thaipusam.

There is lot more beautiful & huge kavadis at night where the crowd is beyond maximum. We have to move like a train in order to pass through each panthal but I miss it this time since have to drive back to KL.

Lastly " make a note" that this is the first time my wife attending Penang Thaipusam....She impress I guess..)..

Maybe Ipoh Thaipusam so so only.Hehehhe.

Happy Ponggal

My 1st ponggal celebration at home Puchong. Nothing like the previous ponggal grand celebration in SK  which consist of 10 person , this time with only Mr & Mrs Shri Ganesh. :)
Its very difficult to get mango leaves but thanks to  my TAMAN guard guy who manage to get dozen of mango leaves last nite.

Ponggal rice and kacang are the main item of the day .







While Menaka is busy doing kolam yesterday night, I was enjoying the victory of Red Devilz against Bolton
